If You Close The Door, The Night Could Last Forever ...

After Hours, Mo Tucker, Velvet Underground

Not A Day Goes By ...

It's been a long time since I have posted anything here.

I just got back from a cross-country trip (Dallas, TX, to Williston, North Dakota, and back). Lots of time to think.

Even though I'm not posting here much any more, it doesn't mean I'm not thinking about you. Not a day goes by ....

I'm not posting here much any more because there's not much more to say that hasn't already been said. I spend a lot of time on my "music site."

Tonight I'm listening to:

Velvet Underground, Self-Titled (1969)

I think on a cool, rainy, dark Yorkshire winter night, you we would enjoy this album, sharing a warm cup of hot chocolate.

By The Time I Left Yorkshire For The Last Time ...

... I was listening to Leonard Cohen's Ten New Songs almost constantly, along with Norah Jones debut album.

Tonight, I come back to Leonard Cohen. Not a moment goes by that I'm not thinking of you.

That Don't Make It Junk, Leonard Cohen

I tried to love you my way but I couldn't make it hold.

Sunday Morning

Good morning, ---

I'm sitting here, Sunday morning, alone with my music. And then Norah Jones comes on, "Come Away With Me" and I'm transported back to Yorkshire. Yorkshhire breakfast. Ripon Cathedral. The abbeys. The drive home. The Yorkshire bridges.

Not a day goes by that I'm not thinking of you.

Not A Day Goes By That I'm Not Thinking About You

Last Date, Floyd Cramer

I've Tried To Leave You At Least A Hundred Times

This is the long version. Shorter versions are avilable:

I Tried To Leave You, Leonard Cohen

You Made Me Feel Thirty Years Younger

Karma Chameleon, Culture Club   I'm taking a cross country trip south to north this autumn. I would like to see the jumping off point for Lewis and Clark one more time.
