Not A Day Goes By ... Posted January 14, 2026

... that I'm not thinking about you.

Nothing. Just haven't checked in with you in a long, long time.

AI prompt: Is there a term to explain the type of brain activity when one thinks about something completely unimportant but comes up over and over in between thoughts required for "real life?" I'm not talking about "daydreaming" which can last for several minutes, but I'm think of those random thoughts that pop up throughout the day. Do neurologists / psychiatrists have a "word" or "phrase" for that kind of mindless thinking?

I guess it would be "wonderful, positive, mind-wandering." I never want it to go away. It's all I have.
